Evangelion

Fifteen years after a global catastrophe called the Second Impact, humanity faces extinction from mysterious beings known as Angels, prompting the secretive organization NERV to deploy giant bio-mechanical mechas called Evangelions. The story centers on Shinji Ikari, a reluctant teenage pilot, and his fellow pilots Rei and Asuka, who battle the Angels while grappling with deep psychological trauma, isolation, and strained relationships. As the series progresses, the narrative shifts from intense mecha battles to profound explorations of identity, depression, and existentialism, culminating in an abstract and emotionally charged finale.
